The Giving Tree is a wood shop where beautiful,
handcrafted toys are created in an environment that fosters a
renewed sense of purpose and meaning for seniors, formerly and
currently homeless individuals, and youth and adults within the
greater community. This accepting atmosphere cultivates respect
and dignity by empowering people to use their individual talents
in an altruistic way.

Magazine is an on-line environmental news and commentary
source. Grist is based in the Emerald City of Seattle, Wash,
with contributors scattered the world 'round. We are a nonprofit
organization funded by foundation grants, reader contributions,
and just a touch of advertising. The website and email services
are free -- and worth every penny.

of America Northwest is a regional non-profit public interest
organization. They are the leading grassroots organization working
on the clean-up of the Hanford Nuclear Reservation, transportation
of nuclear waste to the Northwest, and other hazardous waste issues. Their
mission is to advance our region's quality of life through highly
credible research, education, and participation of citizens in issues
affecting the health, environment, and economy of the Northwest. |

| Sacred Heart
Shelter provides safe, home-like shelter to homeless families
and women. The shelter is located in the Lower Queen Anne area of
Seattle and houses six single women and six families. A family can
be a one or two parent family. We do accept single fathers with children. |

Treehouse:
Treehouse was founded to provide a place for more than 15,000
children suffering the effects of abuse and neglect, many placed
in foster care, are eligible for our services. Treehouse makes
a difference in their lives by providing services that fulfill
key material needs, help them learn and give them a real childhood
as well as hope for the future.
